WordPress 6.8.2 Has Been Released!
This maintenance update fixes 20 core issues and 15 block editor issues. For the full list of bug fixes, please see the release candidate announcement.
WordPress 6.8.2 is a short-cycle maintenance release. Additional maintenance updates may be released throughout 2025.
If your site supports automatic background updates, the update process will start automatically.
You can download WordPress 6.8.2 from WordPress.org, or visit your WordPress dashboard, click "Updates", then click "Update Now". For more information about this release, visit the HelpHub version page.
Discontinuation of Security Updates for WordPress 4.1 Through 4.6
This is not directly related to the 6.8.2 maintenance release, but versions 4.1 through 4.6 officially reached end-of-life today. These branches will no longer receive any security updates.
