WordPress 6.8.1 Maintenance Release

WordPress 6.8.1 Now Released!

This minor maintenance release fixes 15 bugs across the core and the block editor, addressing issues that impact multiple areas of WordPress including the block editor, multisite, and the REST API. For the full list of bug fixes, refer to the release candidate announcement.

WordPress 6.8.1 is a short-cycle maintenance release. Additional maintenance updates will be rolled out throughout 2025.

If your site supports automatic background updates, the update process will start automatically.
