I just purchased the Tencent Cloud EdgeOne Personal Edition package two days ago, which costs 32.29 yuan per year. Today, I was preparing to transfer my domain to the new package, and when configuring the Web protection rules, I found that there is no User-Agent in the exception rule judgment conditions, and there are only two judgment conditions.
Then I checked the personal edition package I purchased in December two years ago, which has 14 judgment conditions.
I submitted a ticket to consult Tencent Cloud engineers, and their reply roughly meant that “the personal edition’s protection exception rules do not support adding User-Agent whitelists”.
After comparing the functions of the new and old personal editions, so far only the protection exception rules’ judgment conditions are different, and all other functions are the same. Then I remembered that User-Agent can be forged. Last year, I added Baidu crawlers to the whitelist, which resulted in 600MB of traffic being stolen. Maybe the User-Agent judgment condition isn’t necessary after all.
