After upgrading the theme last year, I found that the avatar changing function in the frontend user center of the Zibi (子比) theme only supports JPG and GIF formats.
I then posted this feedback on the official Zibi (子比) theme website, and the author’s reply is shown in the image below.
I didn’t understand what he meant at the time, so I replied and asked if this was because uploading PNG format avatars would cause page layout distortion.
He actually said: What website have you ever seen uses transparent avatars?
If he’s going to say that, I could just as well say: I’ve never seen any website or platform that doesn’t support PNG format…

Users buy your theme to build their own websites, but you shouldn’t force users to follow your own ideas and website building philosophy. For example, the tutorial article you wrote follows your own website building approach, but you did not consider the needs of new users, which led to many new users posting for help in after-sales groups and forums.
For example, looking at this question: I guess this user read the tutorial article and thought that the number of SQL queries can really be reduced to single digits.
Comments below the post.
There are also problems like this.
The theme author stated in his tutorial that the number of SQL queries can be reduced to single digits, and I know how this is achieved: if you only have a single post list on the homepage, the number of SQL queries can indeed reach single digits… ![]()
